The Slovenian language is spoken by approximately 2 million people throughout the world, mostly in Slovenia. It is written in latin language, plus a few more characters found also in other Slavic languages. Slovenia is a modern and prosperous State, with a highly educated population and a purchasing power almost as high as the European Union average and growing rapidly.

The market for Slovenian domain names

The Slovenian market for domain name is strong, compared to the small size of the country. Firstly, the internet sector is very much developped in Slovenia. Secondly, many Slovenian words are spelled identically in Croatian, Bosnia and sometimes other slavic languages. That is why most premium domain names have long been registered. Many are still available in IDNs, but there is no demand for such names and this should not change much in the future.
