The Serbian population

Serbian is a Slavic language, written in Cyrillic. With approximately 12 million speakers throughout the world, it is the main South Slavic language. It is the main language of Serbia, of Montenegro and of the Serb State of the Federation of Bosnia. Inside Yugoslavia, Serbia used to be a strong and prosperous State, but owing to the Balkans war of the 90's, the purchasing power of Serbians in Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia is amongst the lowest in Europe.

The Serbian market for domain names

The market for domain names in Serbian language is little developped. The main reason is that IDN in Cyrillic are not much appreciated by internet users and webmasters from this region. And when they are written in latin alphabet, Serbian words almost always become words in Croatian.
